Couples looking for a cozy stay

We had a small issue with our room but the staff sorted it instantly which was impressive. The bar had a great atmosphere and Errol was spot on with the tunes — made the evenings relaxing and fun.

It wasn't cheap but the overall experience made it okay.

We stayed for 2 nights, and Donna and the team were amazing, making sure we felt right at home during a tough time. We really enjoyed the live music and the cozy lounge area for relaxing after our long days. The mattress could definitely use some TLC, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience. 😊

I traveled with my family and was disheartened by the overall experience during our stay. We encountered serious hygiene issues in our room. My son found it hard to relax as the environment was far from family-friendly.

The state of our room was disappointing, with visible stains that made it uncomfortable to stay. the noise levels from the bar in the vicinity made it hard for my family to get a good night's sleep.

near parks and great landmarks for city strolls

I love how convenient it was to stroll to Small Heath Park, just 4 km away, where I could enjoy the greenery and relax, and the fact that the Taste Of Home was only a few steps away, making it easy to grab a tasty bite after my walks around the city. as a solo traveler, the clean and tidy hotel really suited my needs for comfort during my stay.

We loved the lively pub atmosphere! It really felt like a home. Just wish our room was cleaner. there were visible stains that made it hard to relax. 😔

Recommend for a weekend vacation

Welcoming staff, clean room with very white towels made our stay enjoyable, and the 24-hour access via code doors was very convenient for our family with children exploring the area.

We had a fantastic time with the kids here, the staff were super friendly and helped us even with late check-in. The breakfast was well worth it, they packed it for us in the morning because we had to catch an early train.

The surrounding area can come off as unkempt. an unfortunate encounter with some not-so-discreet personal activities nearby created a less than ideal first impression. A distinct need for cleanliness in the rooms is apparent, with some carpets showing noticeable stains. Given these factors, the stay could leave one feeling less than satisfied, but it's worth mentioning if you plan for just a brief stop.
